Welcome to our Sommelier Association (Club AIS)
Welcome to the Sommelier Association of Belgium and Luxembourg, built on the foundations and principles of the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS), which itself has offered wine education since 1965. Our Association is affiliated with AIS Italy and we represent them as Club AIS Belgium - the most dedicated Wine Club around. Here you will find the finest Italian professionals, exclusive Masterclasses, Seminars, the latest updates, exclusive info, fan stories, and so much more. Our events are for every level...and if you want to grow and become professional, just subscribe for our Training!  We’re based in Bruxelles, with a branch in Luxembourg, but we are always looking to grow and expand our spheres of influence. About Us
Our Sommelier Association landed in Bruxelles in 2022 (so just now!) a group of what some have called ‘super fans’ launched this official website and the first professional Sommelier Courses in Belgium and Luxembourg. We’re a dedicated Wine Club that brings the best professionals and teachers to Belgium and Luxembourg for professional courses, events, training and also ....wine games! We pride ourselves on being a fun and collaborative environment, where people from all over can come together in fan unity.

Professional Sommelier Courses
Our professional training is based on the AIS-accredited one, therefore providing a formal job title. But, then, how does an AIS training class look like? find it here below. Serious and professional training does not need to be boring! This was the Frankfurt First Level class 2019. A wonderful experience and a successful result.
Obviously, there is no single way to get to know wine. We will break it down into two simple (and simplifying) elements:
1) the theory of wine;
2) the practice of wine.
The theory of wine is made up of the study, reading of texts and attendance of seminars and courses. The practice of wine is linked to direct experimentation: the wine itself and, therefore, its tasting, but among friends or in specific seminars that deepen a native vine or let us experience the evolution of aromas thanks to a vertical ( the tasting of different vintages of the same wine).
Sommelier courses and seminars are useful as a window into the world of wine: this is where to start!

What can we do for you?
Wine lovers, professional sommeliers and Master of Wine from Belgium and Luxembourg, this call is for you! Finally, we landed in Bruxelles and will take care of you. Whether you are an expert, a sommelier, a wine enthusiast or a local business, this cultural association is for you. In Italian, French, English or German, you'll have access to a wide spectrum of AIS events, professionals and, most important, people. As a Member, whether private or Business, we'll support you in organizing your event too! You may organize a session on a specific theme for the Association, or you contact us for Team building. We also organize training for diplomats and managers dealing with etiquette or simply provide consultancy.
Why AIS in Bruxelles?
I started with the Oenology Section at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, 2018, when I decided that I wanted to teach and continue learning about wine, but in a professional and proper way, from the best teachers and sommeliers. I started a community in Frankfurt that raised up to 600 Members in only one year. Once I moved to Bruxelles, it was natural to do the same, so here we are!
Our first step has been the professional sommelier Course in Luxembourg, this time in Italian, but we will open soon to English and French audiences also in Belgium. For the ones who'd like to participate in the future, do not hesitate to contact us and become members.

NEWS
2024 started and we are planning...
The Association is growing and our First Professional Training closed at the beginning of the year. We are collaborating with other associations and we are now planning a Meet&Taste (meet the producer and guided tasting) of wines from Calabria, Puglia and Wine Labs will come, to improve tasting skills. Our plan for the second half of 2024 is to organize the Professional Sommelier training, a special Marsala event and a couple of Visits, starting with Alsazia already second half of May.
We'll alternate these with some Wine Discovery events and wine&food pairing for professionals.
All our events (unless specified) will be in English&Italian.
